Independent Review of CHIRP - 2009

As many readers of CHIRP FEEDBACK will be aware, this Programme is funded by a grant from the Civil Aviation Authority (Safety Regulation Group). Although the Programme is managed by an independent Board of Trustees, the CAA does of course need to be assured that it is cost-effective; for this reason the aviation programmes are independently reviewed every five years; the next is scheduled to be conducted in November 2009. In addition to the views of the independent Review Board it is also important that the programmes are perceived by pilots, engineers, ATCOs, cabin crew members and managers as making a positive contribution to flight safety. We are therefore inviting comments from all user groups. All comments received by the Review date will be made available to the Review Board.Please be informed that we are closing our comment service for Aviation Programme on 23 October 2009.
